I don't understand why but the same thing that happened to the death scene analysis is happening to the last section for Carmen, I will try to put the rest in the comments, but I am having trouble getting to the comment section and typing, it has only worked on the 6th time that I have tried to comment.
ReplyDeleteGood
ReplyDelete1. Cares about her child and tries to care for her, she also brings her to the captains camp because she believes it is the best thing for her
2. Continuous to try and fight against the pain of childbirth.
Bad
1. she Is shown to be unable to do many things in the film including; being unable to stay in the car, and look after her child. (this doesn’t mean she is always weak in her life but throughout the film she is presented in this way)
2. doesn’t truly believe she will live after childbirth, also doesn’t allow her child to enjoy doing what she likes.
3. Doesn’t show the slightest belief in Ofelia, even though she is trying to help (which she would be able to see if she believed in her child even if she didn’t believe the fairy tales.
4. Carmen is shown to be a symbol in the film that represents Ofelia’s ties with this world being sad and depressing; it is a good reason for why she wants to escape into her books/stories.
